the experiment

just paint... based on voices i decided to experiment.

Yes stitching into paper. i always seem to come back to this... i think it looks gooood... what do you think?
If you like it i will carry on

something new.

A friend had an old Art magaziene and i spotted a double page spread that looked like my work from where i was sat (a good 4 meters away) so asked if i could have a mooch once she had finnished.

I had found the work of Eugene Von Bruenchenhein (i think it's spelt)usualy took photo of his wife in an exotic expression and silverpainted them (they were black and white)
But these, these caught my eye. These to me are beautiful just as patterns, not as they say they are.
"animals appear as plant dwellers of the sea". in oil
(couldnt see what the second one's title was ) also in oil.

Lazy daze

Listening to music.. planning on concentrating on chellos and guitars.. because I thought it would look good. Mum (manxgirl) and i sat in out living room (diningroom cos its warmer and we spend more time in there), She is sewing happily ocasionaly asking for a fresh cuppa. and myself playing music (not heavy metal for once) so We have some company as we work at our own pace.

my piece alll on guitars and chellos and the test page... just about to start playing with that one now..... i'd say a days work there....

Wednesday 14 January 2009

I can never concentrate.

When working on WRITTEN WORK I can never concentrate on it for more than 10 minutes at a time. I always have a page and a paintbrush with paints or a bunch of colourd pencils near by for breaks from the dreaded essay work.

I never was a writer. infact, I don't mean for this to sound like an excuse. But i have dyslexia (i think it is spelt). When i was younger, my friends were writing two paragraphs within five minutes I would be still about half way through the first sentance... Even now im still needing a break here and there to do something else for 5 minutes.

Anyways back to what i was saying. here is the work i have been working on today..

the test pieces

in college At a guess of 6 or 7 hours work. so that means about 3 days worth of lunch time and break times
At work untill very recently i worked in a small craft shop in the middle of Main street Ramsey. Its now closed down. But on my last day working there. i managed to grab a total of 3 and a half hours when noone was in the shop and the shop looked neat and tidy just to paint whilst letting time pass..

the drunkerd painter

now when you think of painting drunk.. you think of mess.... now i tell you this ... this wasnt supposed t look anything like it is... A 000 brush and a few Bacardi rum and cokes in yer system And im gone.
the finnished piece.
getting there
it started as a few squiggles from cleaning my brush then started to put pretty patterns in whilst listening to Apocolyptica (3 chellos playing some very energetic and also some calming songs (ask Manxgirl she likes a couple of the pieces)).

2009 and i carry on with synaesthesia in my own time.

i enjoyed the synaesthesia project that much, ive decided to continue it in my own way... no lanterns in sight just me and my paint... and pencils... felts some times use wax crayon too. right lets catch up with me so far.

A typical doodle using wax crayon pencils paint and felt tips.... there might be abit of collaging in there too with paper. A little mad isn't it?
