Lazy daze

Listening to music.. planning on concentrating on chellos and guitars.. because I thought it would look good. Mum (manxgirl) and i sat in out living room (diningroom cos its warmer and we spend more time in there), She is sewing happily ocasionaly asking for a fresh cuppa. and myself playing music (not heavy metal for once) so We have some company as we work at our own pace.

my piece alll on guitars and chellos and the test page... just about to start playing with that one now..... i'd say a days work there....

Thanks for the kind words...your work reminds me of Kandinsky. I would love to see you work in oil, or do some plein air paintings outside from life. Thanks again.

Hi, thanks for your comment. Just browsing through your paintings. They would look amazing as an animation. Colour can be such an effective medium to communicate visuals without narrative. Keep up the good work..

Well, animation can be done on paper too. All you need to do is capture the images and put them into a sequence. I did a similar themed project 2 years ago, where I painted with drumsticks..I played along with a led zep drum solo, and hit the paint...it was a messy but fun excercise. But animation and music go hand in hand..its hard to find one succeeding without the other. Learning programmes on a computer isn't too hard. Its just a lot of trial and error..and maybe the help of a few tutorials..but, in some ways its better to work with real materials, i.e, paints, charcoal etc etc..computers can never substitute drawing from life.

I agree, it would take a lifetime. And especially as students, we wouldn't have the time.but some people do take on such projects..you should check out Alexander Petrov's animation on youtube. He animates oil paintings frame by frame, in ridiculous detail. Its mind blowing work.
